HISTORY

Bagumbuhay Elementary School started as an annex of Manuel S. Rojas Elementary School formerly San Roque Elementary School. Only Grades V and VI pupils are catered by the school. It occupied a part of a two-storey building owned by the Grand Lodge No. 4 F.M.A. which is situated in Lopez Jaena Street, San Roque, Cavite City. It was a rented building within the land area of 1,839 sq. m. the school then was within the jurisdiction of barangay 61 and barangay 61 – A. Undoubtedly the barangays are thickly populated coming from the indigent families from different provinces.

In 1972 it was separated from San Roque Elementary School. In September 2003, the school was relocated to Philippine Estate Authority (PEA) land inside a private subdivision, Villa Porta Vaga, presently it occupies 700 sq. m. land area and is now within the jurisdiction of Barangay 61 – A  Talong, the said relocation was thru the effort and generosity of then City Mayor Bernardo “Totie” S. Paredes and this year 2013, the local government granted us with an additional 720 sq. m. land area for us to be able to have expansion of our school.
